Forget what transpired, and do not seek that knowledge. Objects of the past are powerful enough to destroy everyone you love, be cautious. What is known now and how to survive is what is essential.
The skies belong to the Dra’ken, the tunnels to the Kord’ emuri, the wastes to the Wastkeen. Stay close to home, be it a village, outpost, or ruins. If trouble comes, and it is not possible to fight, flee, then find a new home. The Warlords may have negotiated amongst themselves and stopped the killing for land, but never expect that to last.
Stay clear of those that are different; remembering magic broke the world, and rumors of other races and mutants are voiced often enough to be believed. Avoid the chaos of dwelling in the company of those with differences. That is like inviting strife into your home. Barter with them, but do not befriend them.
Do not acquire so much that you cannot leave quickly, or so much that your belongings invite jealousy of others.
Do not strive to be the best as that will separate you from your people, and the Warlords will trade you like prized cattle.
The faith reminds us that we are more than we once were; we are the chosen to tend what remains and rebuild the garden. The trials have pressed and molded us to be resilient to adversity and resistant to the fires of old that culled the weak. Keep your ancestors in mind and speak modestly with any benevolent power that will hear you and aid you to make your way through another day.
Be vigilant to gather resources and find a useful talent to help your people. Pay dues to those more powerful offering you protection. Do not deny a robber their desires unless it would mean death, grant them possessions, and after you have survived, make a plan, so that you do not have to endure that again.
Do not get caught in pride, pledge yourself to another’s cause, or believe in your knowledge of justice so much that you risk a brighter future. No spoken word is truly idle; once heard, it echoes reverberating within the mind and changes views, either bringing things into focus or blurring the truth into an illusion. Always gather the energy to test another’s words against what you know and what you can discover before taking an action that may have rippling effects on the future.
Do not trust someone else’s judgment more than your own. Even those of faith can be twisted into following schemes that threaten the brightness of the future. Should you be so unfortunate to be slaved and placed in the hazardous relic mines, fight in the pits, or sell parts of yourself to the Warlords, gangs, cults, or any who gains power over you, keep your faith and look for a way to brighten your future. Always be prepared to follow a new path.
